Food for thought for the weekend

I�ll write a real entry later, this is just the boring details of what I ate over the weekend.

Saturday:
Breakfast: soft boiled egg and � piece of toast with promise spread. Really.

Lunch: No lunch � too busy.

Dinner: Green salad with some sort of vinaigrette, handful of veggie crudit�s with a tablespoon of dill dip poured over them, two smallish shrimp with cocktail sauce, the dinkiest portion of penne pasta with sausage in a creamy tomato sauce ever � seriously I think there were about 8 pennes and 4 rounds of sausage. Small square of cake with most of the frosting scraped off. One cranberry & soda water and one Fresca.

Exercise: 20 minute walk, � hour on the elliptical machine and � hour freeweights and machines.

Sunday:
Breakfast: soft boiled egg with � piece of toast with promise spread.

Lunch: Here�s where the wheels fell off a little bit. Blob of taco dip with 6 tortilla chips. Fistfull of chex mix, two wheat thins with spinach dip, giant glob of �Nieman-Marcus� dip on triscuits. N-M dip is unique to my in-laws (at least I�ve never seen it before). I think it came by the moniker because it�s expensive to make. The ingredients include almonds, water chestnuts, shredded cheese, bacon, chives, mayonnaise, and probably one or two other things I�m forgetting. It�s a heart attack on a cracker but man is it good. It doesn�t get made but once or twice a year so I�m not going to be too hard on myself for (over)indulging. At least I didn�t stick around long enough to be there when the fried chicken and Italian beef came out.

Dinner: green salad with vinaigrette, roasted vegetables, 3 slices of cracker crust pizza: 2 spinach and one mushroom/artichoke/green olives. This is probably as good for you as pizza is going to get � super thin crust and minimal cheese and ingredients � sounds Spartan but throw it in a brick oven and it�s heaven. 2 glasses of red wine. Fistful of cherries.

Exercise: 1 � hour belly dance class.
