Weekend eats
Seriously � I ate lots of stuff this weekend and didn�t write it all down so now I have to try and do memory recall: Friday Dinner � catered anniversary party: Fried chicken breast & wing, steamed veggie medley, one boiled potato, small salad w/ French dressing, dinner roll w/ butter. Piece of sheet cake. 2 beers. On the up side, I did dance a whole bunch. Saturday � a day of bad choices: Breakfast: some sort of egg/sausage/potato skillet w/two slices of toast (strangely small toast). I ate the eggs, toast & sausage but only about half of the potatoes. Glass of tomato juice, coffee w/half-n-half. Lunch: 6� mufaletta sub with half the meat pulled out (one of the two kinds of meat looked really fatty and that grosses me out beyond belief), small cup of pasta salad, � biscotti and a single scoop of boysenberry gelato. Bottle of unsweetened tea. Dinner: 1/3 caprese salad, one slice of bread, pasta w/broccoli rabe, and red pepper flakes in an olive oil/white wine sauce, two small squares of thin crust pizza, couple of bites of tiramisu, big glass of red wine. Then on to a bar where I had two beers. And discovered the joy that is Austrailian Rules Football. Not personally mind you � just on tv. This should most certainly be exported to America � right now. Sunday � getting back on track, although in looking at the list � a day of no vegetables or fruit: Breakfast: one soft boiled egg, one piece of toast w/butter. Lunch: Toasted cheese sandwich, limon Izzy-esque (only 60 cal.!). Dinner: 4 small squares of cold thin-crust pepperoni pizza, two pieces of Whole Foods in-house made bison jerky.
